Spring Awakening

Yesterday I ventured out to Bear Creek, hoping it would not be all iced-up and frozen. Last week was quite warm and it cooled down just enough on the weekend to remind you that Winter is not quite gone yet and trying to hold on.

It was nice and warm in the sun, but it was a chilly when the sun hid behind clouds and the wind blow down the canyon. Fishing was a bit slow but I was still able to fool two little brown trout into taking my kebari.

Spring is definitively on its way and nature is waking up. For those of you with allergies, get your antihistamine prescriptions filled.

Looking forward getting out soon again...

  2. We're just over a month from opening of the general trout season. I can't wait until I can get my Iwana back out on the small creeks.

Mark - that is really late to open trout season, isn't it?
