Welcome to my 2nd instalment of my new video series where I tie for you today a

Takayama Sakasa Kebari

As with the Ishigaki Kebari, there are lots of variations in terms of size, body color and hackle color, size and position but they all have the following in common:

1. a scud hook of your choice
2. color of thread of your choice
3. your soft hackle of choice
4. if you want to go fancy, add some peacock herl

Yellow Bee Takayama Sakasa Kebari

One more swap, one more fly. This fly is for the 2nd Tenkara Fisher Fly Swap . I thought I would try to tie a Takayama Sakasa Kebari, which is a thread body Sakasa Kebari with a peacock herl collar. Peacock herl reflects UV light in a way trout seldom can resist. It's probably one of the best natural tying materials out there. When my wife saw the flies, she said 'they look like yellow bees, those bugs'. Hence the name 'Yellow Bee Takayama Sakasa Kebari'.

hook: caddis size 12

hackle: black and white hen furnace

thread: danville yellow 6/0

collar: peacock herl

body: yellow silk

tag: yellow wire, small

And this time I tied some spare ones for my own fly box!
